I have been thinking about this and there has been speculation and anecdotal evidence but the first evidence I found regarding voter turnout came in USATODAY where we are shown the truth of how many people came out to vote this election cycle. I am convinced that we all win in a democratic system whenever participation goes up. Hopefully we can find ways (better than we had this year) to raise voter turnout on a consistent basis.
Looks like Democrats will get more of the same from Bush & Co.,
That’s very magnanimous. Not. It sounds like Bush thinks 51% is a mandate. He needs to realize that Democratic lawmakers aren’t an obstruction: They’re representitives of only slightly less than half the country.
Absolutely right. We can hope – but not expect – that he will work with the democrats rather than just running over them.
If Bush makes the mistake of ignoring the democrats he may find that he loses one or both houses of congress in 2006.

Come back soon Jack! Amen Oliver, we are on the same page! And on this one too. Never liked Lieberman, like him even less now. This is a damned good analysis of the situation in Iraq, and a serious one…
I just found this after adding in my old archives. I had forgotten this 2004 prediction of the possible loss of both houses of Congress in 2006 which fully came to pass.
